Quezon City Polytechnic University (QCPU):Quality Education

The Future QCPU - QCPU Supreme Student Council

"A college education shows a man how little other people know."
                                                                               - Haliburton.

Education is very important because it is the only thing on Earth that we could treasure and couldn't be stolen from us. And because of this, our beloved Former Mayor Sonny "SB" Belmonte provided a state university for all the youths in Quezon City who want to have a quality education that could make them better, skillful, and competent citizens of our country Philippines particularly in Quezon City.

QCPU Belmonte Hall: The Newly Built Building for New Enrollees
"All of us who are worth anything, spend our manhood in unlearning the follies, or expiating the mistakes of our youth."
                                                                              - Shelley.

One of those projects was the Quezon City Polytechnic University (QCPU), established by our beloved Former Mayor "SB" to make the street children to be a good citizen of our city. Quezon City Polytechnic University (QCPU) is a technical university offering three degree courses like Bachelor of Science in Information Communication Technology (BSICT), Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial Management (BSEM), and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (BSIE); and vocational courses like Computer Secretarial, Computer Technician, Computer Programming, etc. It also offers scholarships for those youths who couldn't afford to pay high tuition fees, miscellaneous fees and other fees. There are three categories of the scholaship in this university: 1. 100% Discount Scholarship, 2. 50% Discount Scholarship, and 3. 35% Discount Scholarship and these scholarships are given to those deserving students of Quezon City. And I think, he doesn't want to see any street children lingering in the streets begging for alms and foods for them to survive and street boys / girls who are making use of prohibited drugs and alcohols. I really pity those youths who are like that because in the early age, they have learned to work on their own shoulder and to make their lives more miserable by drugs and alcohols rather than to study in schools and universities.

"They who provide much wealth for their children, but neglect to improve them in virtue, do like those who feed their horses high, but never train them to the manage."
                                                                              - Socrates.

There are some parents who doesn't care for the future because they think that they are rich enough to provide what their children wanted but they didn't know that life is like a wheel, that sometimes you're on your highest peak and sometimes you're on your lowest peak in your life. And on the other hand, most parents couldn't afford to bring their children to schools or universities because of poverty.

"'Tis education forms the common mind. Just as the twig is bent, the tree's inclined."
                                                                              - Pope.

Education is very essential in our lives most especially to the youth who are believed to be the hope of our nation. So, if I were the parents of those youth, I will enroll my children to Quezon City Polytechnic University (QCPU) because the quality of education here is good,  scholarships are given to those who are deserving students like the smart ones and the poor one, and most of the professors teaching here are professionals. QCPU is now expanding its campus for new enrollees because every year, the population here is incrementing double of the previous number of enrollees every year! It has three branches so that all new enrollees will be occupied! So, what are you waiting for? Enroll now!
